What a stark contrast to summer! You must have pulled this puppy from your portfolio, because unless we are on the precipice of the apocalypse, this cannot be a recent pic.
You are expert at framing your photographs. These two trees are playing sentinels to the storm brewing above their heads, I dig that very much. I don’t know why, but this image makes me think of the one scene in Fargo where Steve Buscemi has the bright idea to hide the money in a remote field in the middle of nowhere.
You would be right about that. This an April archive picture. I hope that doesn’t offend 😉 I didn’t have anything recent that tickled my fancy enough to share.
I thank you! ‘Twere me goal 😉 Kinda like my lonely winter tree did, eh? And I love that it evokes something.
Hey, you’re the professional photog, I just state my opinions. You could pull an archive from the winter of ’78 and Imma be okay with your decision.
The framing is sensational once again. And the trees running along down below provide a perfect imaginary picture of a house with no roof, which would be appropriate given that mother nature doesn’t have a roof.
It’s so Wuthering Heights or better yet, one could see Manderlay in the distance. How cool to evoke such classic literature. Makes me want to read Rebecca again. It’s a fave of mine.
Love the blue. Like you mixed indigo with the color of twilight. Another keeper Dale. 🙂
Nothing gives me more pleasure than to have my picture evoke something in the person looking at said picture. I love this!
Wuthering Heights! Manderlay! Rebecca! Now I want to read them again!
I loved the blues, too
Thank you, my New York friend!
Seriously. I read the two a youse and I sit there wondering how do they do it? I’m more of a bare-bones kinda writer. Like we’re sitting in my living room chatting type. Which has its own appeal, as I’ve been told.
What a great image…a barebacked rider. Now Frank would immediately suggest a few choruses of…Paperback Writer…writer…writer…Paperback writer, paperback writer.
Dear Sir or Madam, will you read my book?
It took me years to write, will you take a look?
It’s based on a novel by a man named Lear,
And I need a job,
So I want to be a paperback writer,
Paperback writer.
Alright you two … now I see way my ears were itching. Paperback Writer is an interesting thought – however, the first thing that came to my mind was The Painted Lady with Paperback Rider.
Has fall already arrived up there?

So very glad you like.

I would not put the word “professional” before photog but I do definitely accept and appreciate your opinions. And I know it 😉
Thank you so much. I just loved the light and the striated sky.
I know you are.

It’s my comment and I’ll “pro” if I want to, I’ll crow if I want to . . . LOL.
Striated . . . good word!
But what am I?

LOL! Alrighty then, Pro and crow away!
Thanks – we do like words, don’t we?

I tried to stay in sync with that song from way back, can’t think of the title of it.
Words are great. It’s peeps who too often make them rancid.
I’ll go with that. 🙂

Nobody sings the blues like you Dale. That is such an amazing shade. Smokey, like the clouds are puffing Winstons.
