Wow…you were the fly on the wall for that butterfly. I rarely see them, so this is truly a treat. And that pink. Had a big discussion about the color pink just the other day. How great it looks on all women…how it brightens adding just the right amount of light. So, I popped over to the GAP and got a pink striped button-down with my trusty GAP card. So this cheerful hedge of yours is an omen of sorts. Must remember this when the bill comes.
Toss in that elegant eye of yours, I swell Dale, it could easily be an ad. 🙂
It is so funny. You had to see me, Susannah, determined to capture both a butterfly and a bee in one shot – the bush had 2-3 butterflies and, I dunno 8-10 bees. Every time I tried to get close they would flit and fly. Little buggers. I captured one with a butterfly at the left and a bee way at the right. Figured. Yes! I caught it.
Got home, transferred to my pics to my laptop and lo and behold I HAD capture two close together.
I, frankly, felt the butterfly clashed with the pink 😉 Of course I am just joshing!
Pink is a wonderful colour and comes in so many shades, one is bound to found one to love. I haven’t shopped for myself in a dog’s age.
There is that… and now that his teeth have been scraped and cleaned, his breath no longer makes us reel. They might have been even more attracted to him.
Once more, you’re a magician with a camera! But that butterfly has no fashion sense. Orange and pink? How gauche. 😉 Well captured my friend. A Monarch and a honey bee…picture perfect.
Thank you!
My thought exactly (on the orange and pink!) I was quite pleased with myself – especially as I only discovered I did capture the bee next to the butterfly – I had another but they were far from each other.
Butterflies have the most beautiful rest stops, I tell you what. It’s why we divine them with secrets to the universe, because everything they do and touch seems like some mystical fantasy.
This capture would be titled “Drink Pink”. Unless the butterfly had other ideas, in which case it becomes butterfly choice. Butterfly don’t play.
Don’t they? And this one didn’t mind sharing space with a couple fellow butterflies and a half-dozen or more bees. Yes, share our secrets so they can carry them off…
Drink Pink. Why not? I like to think this butterfly do play 😉
Unless you’re going to try out for the Olympics, there’s no reason to be that fast. And if you WERE in the Olympics, you’d still lose to Usain Bolt . . .

Now we know how shy they are. It’s from those days of being a plain caterpillar, you just don’t believe how darned pretty you are. 🙂

Right! Zeke was a good boy and sat whilst I tried to capture them on film (so to speak). I am sure his presence made them all the more nervous.

He is awfully handsome. They were probably all wondering if he was single. 🙂

Hey, he’s very manly. What’s a little liver breath when you have all that German brawn to entice and make nice. Ah Zeke.

If it were so, it wouldn’t have been so bad. It was more like death had invaded his mouth!

They’re such peaceful things. I guess it’s why so many peeps want to be butterflies if there is such a thing as reincarnation.
Drink Pink it is! 😉

It would sure as hell beat the hell out of being faster than a speeding train. I mean, who needs to be faster than a speeding train anyways?

Could not agree more.
I dunno what purpose being so fast would bring.

No rush required, right? If you’re speeding along, you can’t make an entrance.
