It is so funny – this was an April shot (coz sometimes I just can’t get out by Tuesday for today’s post 😉 ) and I am part of photo club, so to speak on FB and this one was used just yesterday…. all this to say, it was a crazy windy day here in my home town and my block (only) was out out of power for about 5 hours. The wind cried for this photo to be used.
This chap looks as if he never misses a good meal, and yet he still has no problem doing his gymnastics. Birds could teach us humans a thing or several about balance and weight distribution, tell you what. I am forever amazed by their ability to tuck themselves into the tightest perches and sit easily on the thinnest of lines.
Love your “Bird on Wire” WW selection for the week. 😉
The dude had it all the way! Muy impressive, those bird genes.
It’s nice to be reminded as to the mad trapeze skills our bird neighbors possess. If they could talk, they would teach a course on how to walk a straight line during a sobriety stop.
Love it, Dale. Bleak and wonderful.
Shalom and lotsa warm hugs,
Rochelle

Dear Rochelle,
Thank you. I was torn between two pictures and since it was so windy yesterday, I chose this one 😉
Shalom and lotsa love without being blown away,

love the ruffled vibe – with stability – and the soft back focus is nice with that strong power line

I hope this photo was taken in late September and this cold one is in Miami now. Super shot, Dale.

It was actually taken in April 2014 – must have returned too early from MIami 😉 Thank you, John.

Okay then. Now I’m sad caus the robin has gone over the rainbow bridge (or flyway)

He probably has by now… 😦

A compliment. She has a gift…the economy of words, a very hard thing to own. I strive for brevity and never quite get there.

Indeed. Something Friday Fictioneers teaches us (though Eilene does not play). It is an art.

I did a couple of those. It does make you practice the art of brevity.

If a bird could be a jet, he’s our man. How cool Dale. Love that he’s in perfect profile, like he knew he was being immortalized.

It’s a great one. I love birds and have them all throughout my house including a stuffed owl so, this was a great photo for me.

Oooh.. an owl! I have yet to capture one with my camera… They are so elusive.
And I am very glad you like.

You don’t often get to see a robin in wintery weather. Great capture!

I kinda cheated as this was an April shot 😉

Still, the robins around here avoid being ‘out’ in inclement weather. 😉

Not to mention…isn’t it still winter in Canada in April? 😈

It can be. There have been times where I was able to wear a summer dress on my birthday and on others (most) a snowsuit!

Even here it’s still wintery. Hell…we’ve had snow at Mother’s Day. Must be that altitude thing (coupled with climate change).

Us too… We’ve had snowstorms in May… Ugh.
