  1. It’s like a huge sparkler, the kind you had as a kid when you’d run around the yard screaming, Happy New Year. That was big in Connecticut. I hope you have a wonderful New Year Dale, and here’s to many more beautiful photos.

    • Yes! Actually, I took a few pictures last night but many videos… It was tough to choose but this is actually part of a video that I paused!
Thank you, Susannah. And I hope you have a wonderful year!

The fireworks are a thing in Canada too, eh? And here I thought that was just an American way of sticking fireworks into the middle of winter, LOL. This country looks for any and every opportunity to blow shit up.

You know what I dig about this one? That it brings new life to that tree, which was resting its wings for the winter. And then it becomes this sort of painting, a weeping willow tree that sparkles in the night. WAY cool if you ask me. I’m wondering now if you tried to do that or if it just happened that way.

    • B,

Yep. Are you kidding me? We have the International Fireworks Competition every summer! Been going on for over 25 years and peeps STILL line up for miles…

Here’s the thing… we were on our way down in the Ferris wheel when the countdown began, and we managed to take a couple of shots before they kicked us out! Then we ran like maniacs through a building and out to a sort of field with a bunch of trees. Try as I might, I could not get a free sky – and I kinda like the effect that created. This is, believe it or not part of a video I paused! I was stuck between a few images, to tell the truth…

BTW, Frank sends you good wishes in his comment… 😉
