It has been rather cold but endurable (for us Canucks, anyway). I felt they each had their own type of beauty so what the hell, included them both – That pic was taken two days ago during the golden hour. I just had to capture it. Again. 🙂
Thank you, John. I couldn’t decide so you get a two-fer!
This is what I call “My” willow and I can’t help but take its picture every time I go by… No, the solo golden one was two days ago and the other was on the 12th.
Same tree, totally different vibe achieved all thanks to the natural light you played with, allowing for the sun to do its thing in the first one- which is my favorite if you twist my arm and make me choose a favorite. As for the second shot, I love how you blur out the other trees. It gives us the feeling of standing there in snowshoes. I will call it the “Bluster Effect”.
So you love your willow so much that you doubled down eh?
Exactomundo. Same tree (I think I could have put in another three pics, I take so many pictures of it 😉 ) And I almost only put the first one coz it is rather striking the way the light, making it’s descent for the day, gave it that last hurrah of a glow. But I kinda liked the other one, too so figured. What the hell!
I do and I did and the boss of this here blog said I can do what I will, So I did.
I’m preaching to the choir on this one, I do realize this. 😉
Or . . your snowshoes in this case.
She’s a silent partner is all. If she does get to stepping on this joint, Imma be stepping back. Until such time, I maintain my wise ass self in blog form.
Remember the film, Days of Heaven with Richard Gere and Sam Shepard? These brought it all back. Stark, dusky yet tells a story. You’re so talented. You have a purist’s eye. ❤️
Dear Dale,
Love the lighting in these. There’s something stunning about a sunny day after a snowfall. You’ve captured it.
Shalom and lotsa hugs,
Rochelle

Dear Rochelle,
Thank you. I just couldn’t choose one because I felt they each had their charm – plus it is the same tree, so figured I could get away with it!
Shalom and lotsa love,
Dale

Too cold for me … but I like the first pic better because it brings out the beauty more. Good morning, Dale.

Your tree . . . 😉
I think multiple shots of the same thing is allowable under WW Rules. But of course, since I don’t know rules, I am talking out my ass.
Yeah, I dig that light. It brings a fiery effect which presents such an effective contrast against the backdrop of winter.
The boss of this here blog shares duties with two chicas . .so I’m not sure if he can really be called the ‘boss’. 😉
Me? Complain? As if.

Yes… “my” tree… 😉
So glad to hear it… ‘course, I’m not a rule-follower so g’head, talk outta your ass coz both of us don’t follow ’em.
It was so cool. Stopped me in my tracks, matter of fact.
You da boss. I come by weekly and the other one needs a kick in the patootie coz she’s just pretending to be a part of this fabulous joint.
As if.

You may preach as often as you want…
Not enough snow. But eventually!
Yes, she is. And I know you would gladly give her the space. Until then, we shall enjoy your wise ass…
Without fail!

All that mattahs.
You too. I preach, you preach, we all preach and it’s not a reach.
Enough snow to keep the climate change deniers chirping away.
Anyways, it’s you dames that help class up this joint, yanno?

Good, then.
I shall attempt to keep up my part of the preaching reach.
That is very generous of you to say. You know… you do have your moments, too, yanno.
