Look at him, so majestic, like an eagle. He might very well be one in his mind and heart. I say, his self-esteem seems pretty high. Nice to think highly of oneself.
See what a photo does to the imagination of a girl propped in bed in oversized pajamas and an Audrey Hepburn coffee cup? Another grand slam, knocked outta the park. 🙂
Thank you, John. I was lucky that day and caught a few different birds (I have zero knowledge on types of birds, quite frankly) – this was the black and white speckled one and I had another that I almost used here with a golden golden belly. I asked my son which one to use 😉
Without knowing anything about this bird, I can tell you what this capture provides me in the way of a clue. This is one bold bird, sitting on its perch with its chest out, surveying the scene. #bossbird.
That’s a great zoom job, and I love the slight blur of certain of the branches which brings out even more of the bird’s attributes.
Some people get all offended by invasive birds such as this European starling. However, it was a human who brought them here and you have to admire their success story. The sight of the murmuration of a large flock is a wonder of nature. You’ve caught a gorgeous pose in fresh plumage (the spots eventually wear away). I’ve enjoyed watching them dunk their long yellow bills into the ground to pluck worms – even better at it than robins!
Wow! Thank you, Eilene. Aren’t they good at getting rid of certain nasty bugs? Looking for the bright side. And yes, the murmurations are so beautiful to see.

So, I have just found out this is a starling (I had zero idea). It’s all about how you carry yourself, isn’t it?
Your comfy situation sounds divine. And I thank you, my most ardent admirer!

What a good shot, Dale. This one says cold winter day to me. Maybe cause it is 37 degrees here now.

Lording it over the gang, eh? I like it.
I was rather pleased with the zoom – You should see some of the cameras… Mine looks like a baby!
Glad ya like!

The Boss Bird, it’s how this bird rolls and there are no apologies, LOL.
I can imagine there are some bazookas going on out there. But yours packs such a great punch.
Loved.

Boss Bird it is!
Well… let us just say that they can get up close and personal a whole lot more than I can. However, I am still rather pleased.

Thought you’d like that.
You always bring such brilliant captures, there ain’t no way I’d take anybody else’s lens over yours.

You are so sweet! And well, now you can’t… coz you gave me the spot and I am not relinquishing it any time soon 😉

I try.
You best not, because I wouldn’t have an alternative. And I wouldn’t want one. 😉
