It looks exactly how I feel Dale, stoically alone awaiting the relief of Spring. Evergreens are so strong and resilient, a wonderful metaphor and reminder that, we too need to be.
I remember growing up, there were two looming at the entrance to our house. When my parents were drunk and raging, I’d go stand beneath them where I felt safe. a five-year old already knowing the power and beauty of nature.
Truly a beautiful, inspiring photograph. Thank you. Susannah
It does have that stoically alone feeling, doesn’t it? They are, no matter how much snow is dumped on them.
Oh wow… that this photo evoked that memory humbles me.
Yeah, I get pretty bored with my coat around year too. Not that the summer clothes are anything special, just different. After months of wearing coats/sweaters/gloves, some khakis or jeans and a tee would be a welcome change.
You have completely outdone yourself with this capture. I mean, HOW can you outdo the brilliant? And yet, you have done just that by bringing us winter in a Currier and Ives postcard setting. It looks like a painting!
Aw c’mon now! Ya gots me blushing all over the place here. I just know that as I was walking past, the light called to me and I could not help myself. That it turned out so nice is a bonus! I am so glad you think so (that it looks like a painting) – I kinda do too. I would even go so far as to consider printing this baby…
I’d rather talk about pizza. Or how my Yankees have gotten off to a perfect start for the baseball season. And how the Canadiens just won the Stanley Cup. (And yeah . . in my head these things are true. All that counts right now).

Post them for you. I never post for anyone. I’m amazed anything I write even gets read. I mean it.

Well… I have other places to post them, for me… here they are for you all to enjoy.
I write for the same reason as you do.

Dear Rochelle,
As I was walking the rest of the way home from my walk with Linda, I was struck by the light. Glad you enjoyed.
Shalom and lotsa spring melting love,
Dale

Definitely a peaceful feel. The palate is perfect … but I’m in spring mode.

Thanks, Frank. I was stopped in my tracks because of the light. All that snow was gone by mid-afternoon the next day.

This is a haunting scene, Dale. Reminds me of the sounds of silence. Beautiful.

You know, it was so quiet when I took this (it was about 10:30 pm) and I was pulled in by the light. So glad you like it.

It was so gorgeous. Kept stopping to drink it all in .
But I’m good now. We can stop with the snow. I’m ready for green. K? Thank you…😊

😁 Yes, green would be quite good at this point! Time for a different kind of beauty…one that’s not so wet. And cold.

Yep. I like the switch of seasonal clothes. Comme summer, the jeans get put away. Onto light cotton pants, skirts, shorts…

Don’t you c’mon now me.
Blush away, because this is something you painted with your eyes, tell you what.
And you SHOULD print this baby up, because it needs to be firmly affixed somewhere, to be looked at and pondered on.
De Noche!

Yes. Pizza. Yankees. Canadiens and the Stanley Cup. And they can be true.
Sealed with a kiss. 😘
