Okay, so for all those times when you are like “Well, the shot was there and I just took it . .” how about this one? The blurred background, in which the green adds rather than takes away coupled with the contrast of those white branches. There is the math that goes into this beautiful equation. And some people- you- have that innate ability to add it up until they get this.
Looks who’s up, and I thought I was the only one, but we seem to have a rooster as company. You said lovely things I can’t top. She’s very talented and humble, my idea of a winning hand.
Yes it is. Just now I came from the store, a ritual of mine, to get my lunch my friendly sushi man makes for me daily. Now I will be in for the day. The tension in the store is like a tuning fork, you can hear it. The wait, 6 feet apart, marked on the floor, was a little longer than usual because they were short staffed. The impatience made my heart pound. I’m in a bit more of a state of grace, I’ve painfully honed, but to witness the unrest, the entitlement, the Trumpism if you will, makes you perspire down to your socks. I’m grateful to be back home.
I don’t get it, SB. There’s enough tension just reading the news without these people adding to it. What in the blessed fuck do people expect when stores can’t get people to work because they don’t want to risk becoming infected? Where did patience and understanding go?
The entitlement, yes. You’re right. Humility is what’s needed right now. Because we got knocked on our asses and it was telling us we are NOT the top of the food chain.
Tell that to the rich, I’m not so sure humility will ever be one of their strong points. The essential worker deserves to be canonized, or at the very least, a raise.
Okay. I do like to get up close and personal with some subjects. The blurring of the background is a natural phenomenon as a result. But! I will give you that I do choose the colours and what’s included by placing myself just so. So yes, the math that you find beautiful is there. And I am beyond pleased you love.
Green is my favorite color aside from Matisse blue, because it symbolizes hope since it represents growth. The Park has been such solace for me during this time, exploding in that same green. Verdant, flush, overflowing with the reminder that, things come and go, and this period of our lives will too. I think I’m wearing green today, in honor of you and Wordless Wednesday, 🙂
Duly noted for future shots…
I am so very glad you have The Park at your disposal, giving you your shot of hopeful growth daily. And yes, this time will eventually come to an end. I wore it yesterday… Hmmm…
There’s green everywhere if you look around. it’s one of the chief colors in my shabby chic apartment. What I’ve realized is, even if I was a Vanderbilt, I’d still have a down home, comfy, big easy chaired abode. That southern, sittin on the veranda look.
This is true. I’m sitting here looking at my bookshelves and all the green spines are popping out. I turn, and see the pot of basil on my kitchen counter. What’s left on my needlepoint that I took out of hiding, is about two inches of green…
I know I would do the wrap-around porch with the big comfy welcoming chairs…
You have me scoping out green now. My couch is a forest green with pillows that have various shades of green in them. My rocking chair with the rose prints has green in their stems. There are green matted picture frames and green spines, just like yours, winking from my book shelf. Green rules.
That’s what I did! My first house (that I bought from my parents) – when we redid the kitchen, we painted the walls hunter green… after a few years, we changed it to periwinkle blue. Don’t know which was my favourite. Loved ’em both. Yes, green rules!
Two favorites of mine too. Just realized, my bathroom is painted what I call, Irish Green, very deep color, like Sherwood Forest. Was like that when I moved in.
Lovely, Dale

Yeah, unfortunately the rooster’s crow carries WAY further than the six foot social distance that is currently all the rage. . . .

I wrote something for you about that. Haven’t posted it yet. Yes, it’s the most peaceful hour of the day. After that it’s sheer fucking warfare.

And when you get all up close in their bi-ness, it’s slam meeting dunk. And natural huh? You are. A natural that is.
Placement is key to scoring the perfect capture and you have the process down cold.
Math and science and language. Class is in session . . every Wednesday . . . .
Thank U

All up in their bi-ness.. uh-huh! Natural… I guess maybe I am to a certain extent.
Placement is so important, I agree. I just keep working at it.
Excellent. This type of schooling I’m gung-ho for!
My pleasure and thank you for this space!

Location, location and yes . . . location.
Me too, lovely. Me too.
It’s been on lock down for some time now. To beautiful results.

Mmm hmm. Location is what it’s all about.
Stuff we can enjoy. Without having to work so hard.
It is very much appreciated.
