Any minute the temps will change and we’ll be tooling in shorts and T-shirts sticking to us like glue saying, wow…I’d do just about anything for a nice cool breeze. Mother Nature, who’s so creative, I mean, look at that flower, it’s a show stopper. She has more up her sleeve I guess is my point.
Yes, we will be bitching about the humidity – even though today we say we promise we won’t. Mother Nature seems to have a limitless supply up her sleeve.
It will soon need it’s own space, that growing file. Did you, by the way, read David’s essay about the ear ringing? Hope so. Trying to encourage him. He’s a such a good writer but for him too, locked down, working from home, is taking its toll. I’ll tell ya Dale. Wish God would answer my calls.
No, I did not. I do like his FF stories so I have no trouble believing the rest of his writing is good.
This situation is affecting everyone in a variety of ways, I tell ya.
Just now I had to, well pretend mask to mask, to listen to one of the girls who works at the market. People all day are rude. I said, we’re not at our best, which is so true. Not an excuse, but a viable explanation. I felt for her. She couldn’t go home the way that I could. sigh
Was nature showing off, or what? Look at that shade of pink. It reminds me of pretty summer dresses, parasols and cotton candy. Easter baskets, bonnets and pink lemonade. All that said…
Big time. “Look at me!” she shouted!
I chose this because despite the pretty colours, we have had a cold May thus far… needed something to warm things up.
The top of the window looks like a crown for the bloom
–
I zoom with a colleague every other week and she has a clock on the wall and when she sits below it – the top of the clock looks like a crown – and you pic reminded me of her.
Oh and love the pink variation in this bloom
—
Oh, it does, doesn’t it? (Albeit a rather dull crown 😉 ) I cropped out the top of the house as it was just too distracting and couldn’t make the window disappear. Now I’m glad I didn’t.
It is so pretty. I have a picture with white ones and I know there is a house somewhere not too far that has the yellow variety – if I could just remember where the darn thing it…
The explosion looks very much like a torch, reaching deep inside to cull that magnificent flame whose burst is nature’s shout. And it’s the reason why words so often fail to elicit the same reaction as a single image. Because sometimes, there is no comparison.
This is so lovely, as per the usual with you . . .
I swear the best thing about supplying you with WW pictures is the resulting commentary from you. You take what I think is a nice enough image and make it fabulous.
I love Magnolias and it is interesting that in Texas they don’t lose their leaves so you get the flowers bursting out of a deep gree background. Terrific photo, Dale.
Oh wow. That must be spectacular! Mission for you (if it needs to be next season, so be it) – we poor, unfortunate folk need to see that.
And thank you. So gad you like!
Thank you! Me too!
And I was trying to remember where I had seen a yellow one and yesterday found it… course, I couldn’t stop to take its pic – but I shall return…
😘😘😘
Dear Dale,
I can almost smell the fragrance. Lovely.
Shalom and lotsa sweet-scented hugs,

Dear Rochelle,
I thank you. I love magnolia and can’t help but stop every time. I did play with this one to give it more “pop” as it was rather drab… 😉
Shalom and lotsa flowery love,
Dale

The pic caused a smile this morning. Although we’ve had a extended stretch of March in May, it hasn’t been winter!

Glad it did, Frank. Our May has been bloody cold so far, except for a day or two. Must be why I felt I should use this one 😉

I meant I love the word…didn’t pen that clearly. it’s a Sorryless word…or at least one he’d use I think. Words. They really run things, don’t they.

That, too! It’s a great word. And yes, the Susannah-Marc-Dale word collection is rather grand, I think!
