First off, I LOVE black and white photos we don’t get to see enough of. The petals are so perfect, the way they’re splayed, like mini doilies you can place your drink on. Well, if you were a mouse that is.
Looks right out of the garden at Manderlay. Just read Rebecca for the 19th time so it’s very apt to see.
Thatβs beautiful! Is it a hydrangea?

I like the round blooms myself but these are the ones I have so…

These are beautiful too…like twins, that aren’t identical.

Yes, I think so too. They are pretty. More delicate and lacy.

My grandmother, who had huge bushes in her front lawn, called them snowballs. I was a kid when I eternally fell in love with them. π

Yes! That’s what I called mine from my old house. I need to plant those ones at this house. Pompom Snowballs

Pompoms…like that. They did look as if cheerleaders could carry them. π

Yes!! And some people put various elements in their soil so they can be lilac or pink coloured…

What flower is this?

Thank you, my friend! I thought it looked so much better in B&W. It is of the hydrangea familyl.

Dear Dale,
There’s something about a black and white photo, particularly when the values are so good…like this one. Nice.
Shalom and lotsa dramatic hugs.

Dear Rochelle,
I found the colour picture was nice but yanno, just that, nice. I purposefully took monochrome pics and am so much happier with it. Thank you.
Shalom and lotsa appreciative love,
Dale

Yay!! I love black and white and figured it was about time I share some here. Mini doilies – yes! For a proper mouse, to be sure.
Awww. Such high praise indeed.

Stuart Little. Ever read that by E.B. White? It’s the sweetest book. And the illustrations are priceless. Garth Williams I think is the person’s name.

Absolutely, I did! It is and they are. I bought Charlotte’s Webb at the same time…

I bought and read them as an adult. Though I did read them when I was in grade school

I agree. I keep The Library Lion near my bed I read often. It’s a favorite of mine. Right up there with Pride & Prejudice and Gone With the Wind. π

Changing it up with the black and white get, love it. I think it gives the water pooling on the leaves a much more dramatic feel.

B,
I’m glad you do. This image was okay in green and white but somehow popped in black and white. We likes the drama.
