I love this one as I actually took it at night. Gives it a whole ‘nother look. I was supposed to go the next day to capture in daylight but you know how that goes ..
Yes, indeed! Kind of glad this guy doesn’t take care of them (trimming them before the cold comes) because it makes for nice photos. Took this one at night!
Just note that over 1/3 are bots and a good 20% are from the challenges I participate in – they liked the blog and I never saw them again. So my little core is like your little core. One I enjoy tremendously.
Haha! Thank you. I had to send a pic to my new HR office and, since I had my bangs cut and my ends trimmed, figured I’d take a more recent one. Turned out decent so I kept it. 12! You kill me.
If you have a second, speaking of David, he put up a pretty funny essay on greenwalledtower. It really made me laugh, the poor guy who just wants a girl. sigh
The colors . . . I know it has lost its pop, but there is something about that color that really hits me in a good way. Stories . . . experiences . . strength, even still. I’m not sure what color that is, but I really dig it.
I know – plus it was a night shot so the colours are even more dimmed, so to speak, which is what I loved about them. They were like that faded rose damask dress left in the attic to turn a shade of, of, of…. what? yellowed rose?
And yes, I was thinking of The Rose, which make me think of Janet Joplin which was my sideways attempt to do something along the lines of what you asked…
Wow, I mean it’s really such a great capture. Not that I’m surprised in the least, of course.
Yes, that. All those stories it holds inside. The memories remain, like a song whose lyrics might be dated but are every bit as earnest in the telling.
You did deliver and I smiled when I arrived to see it here – first because you followed through – but also because it really is a gorgeous photo ๐นโ๏ธ
Dear Dale,
Such a lovely picture of the overlapping of seasons.
Shalom and lotsa warm hugs,

Good night dear rose, it’s time to sleep.
The colors . . . I know it has lost its pop, but there is something about that color that really hits me in a good way. Stories . . . experiences . . strength, even still. I’m not sure what color that is, but I really dig it.
And Bette Midler’s “The Rose”. Just saying.
