He he… Helps that I was born here and is all I’m used to… I don’t think I could live where it is hot all the time – many of my family members should would like to, though.
Seasons are a good thing. Hot all the time also not for me. Ohio is not overly big, but I recall my first exposure of winter in college – that is growing up in the southeast corner then going to the northwest corner. What a difference!
What a great thing to say, Pam. I was making my way to a good “catch the sunset spot” when the light stopped me in my tracks. This photo is unenhanced.
Thank you, Susannah! It was gaspingly beautiful as I walked towards my spot to capture the sunset. I had to stop and take a picture. And these are not enhanced, either.
What a fantabulous compliment! Thank you for your always generousness 🙂
Did you know him already? I was involved with a guy, a musician, who turned me on to him, never realizing, one of my favorite pictures of all time, was his. Amazing the stuff one doesn’t know till the channel arrives.
That painting was Old King Cole that still hangs majestically behind the bar at the Saint Regis Hotel since 1911 when John Jacob Astor’s son, after inheriting it when his father went down on The Titanic, placed it. Never knew it was a Maxfield Parrish till maybe 10 years ago when I had the hots for a guitar player who loved him. 🙂
Lovely

Peaceful, beautifully captured, and a bit cold for me.

Thank you, Frank. It was surprisingly perfect. Not cold at all (well, for us hardy types)

Oh yes – if you weren’t hardy, you wouldn’t live there. Cheers to you embracing it!

WOW!!! How beautiful is that? The sun looks as if it was placed there, just for you.
You always remind me of Maxfield Parrish, and that’s a high compliment since, in my opinion, he’s unrivaled. You’ve hit a homer, once again. 🙂

No, I did not. How cool that you were already a fan without knowing you were. Life is full of lovely surprises, don’t you think?

That is so cool. Not just do you admire the painting and painter but that you know some of its history. 😊

You have no doubt. And honestly, nothing wrong with that. I’m quite happy with a fire and blankie myself 🙂

I have zero eye for what makes a good capture, so to me? They’re both spectacular.
