  1. Dale, that is so Edward Hopperesque. Next to Maxfield Parrish, he’s my favorite painter. You really nailed that simple prospect, to borrow a Jane Austen term, at just looking at something so beautiful in its tender simplicity. I see all kinds of things…a family making a modest living. Animals in their natural space without fear as they go about their business of being part of what Nature always intended. To just live. Loved this. Really. Can ya tell?

    You went all American Gothic today. All the contrasts in this image prove that you are the Mistress of WW. I love old barns, and this one feels so perfect, what with the sparse landscape and the shadowy clouds looming above. Perfect, just perfect.

      That’s what I felt about it (despite that dark cloud directly above!) The light was just right and I walked pretty far so that I could get it without power lines in the way. Rather pleased that I made the effort and you find it loverly ๐Ÿ™‚
